Of course I was compelled to watch Miracle based on the 1980 US Hockey Team. This movie never gets old. Prepare for goose bumps.
The ending voiceover about using professionals after that year … dream teams as they are called … ironic since those teams are no longer made up those who dream makes me sad.
Then I hear about Redmond and my heart is happy 😊. Just a baby at only 17. 10th in an 11 man finale. And bam 💥 he wins the Gold! Dream of a lifetime.
Woo hoo!!!
As always more to come.
I loved watching the 17 year old win. I love hearing the come back stories of one guy who was in a coma 11 months ago and there he is at the olympics and the hardships that people overcome. One husband and wife and she was sick for 4 years and finally overcame the illness and was back competing i think it was in the ice dancing. I love it. I love the come back stories the best!

We don’t have ice in Australia. Winter is just a time when most of us spend less time surfing. So …. in terms of miracles I suggest you google Steve Bradbury https://www.google.com.au/search?q=australian+gold+medal+ice+skating&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-au&client=safari

‘Doing a Bradbury’ has become something of a popular term here in Oz ever since. And he has been very good hearted about it. We make light of the fact that he won the final under those circumstances, and so we tend to lose sight of the fact that he did actually make the final, which is quite an achievement in itself.
