haiku – rolling & steady ~ 8/8/22

she remains steady

as rolling waves pound the surf

her heart keeping time

Written for Ronovan Writes #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge 422 ROLLING and Steady.

My heart is tender, a little worse for the wear but had I not tried, I’d always be wondering what if & if only. Sucks sometimes but I have also experienced pure joy because I have also experienced deep pain. Forever trying to get back there like an addict needing a fix. Only the drug is belonging.
