Along with my other medical afflictions related to scoliosis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and the need for orthopedic shoes, Iāve been having headaches. I had my six month dental check up today, where I also received a referral to an orthodontist. Seems my headaches might be caused by crowded teeth and jaw disharmony. How fun is that! said no one ever š¤£
On the referral form, it asked for generic information like patientās name, date of birth, phone number, reason for referral, and parentās name. Wait! Why parentās name? Oh she says slowly realizing. Well duh š mostly kids get braces.
What wouldāve been momās 90th birthday is just around the corner. This Thursday in fact. Guess I wonāt be putting her name on the form. Come on yāall thatās funny. The form part & me at 57 getting braces. But hey if the headaches go away, Iām game.
Iām reminded of the time when I was trying to register Pony for first grade and was told my mom or dad would have to come to the school. And Iām thinking what do his grandparents have to do with registering him for school? She goes on saying itās nice of me to help our parents out but ā¦
Well we favor each other quite a bit. Like siblings sometimes do. But also because in my Notre Dame T-shirt and running shorts with hair in a ponytail, I looked about 16. To be fair, I was 29 at the time. To be fair, I can no longer pass for younger than I actually am. In fact, I probably look closer to 70 than 60. WTF yāall WTF. Iām joking. Old age is a privilege denied to many. Like my momma. Everyone knows someone who knows someone who is gone too soon.
September is a month of mixed emotions in our family. Birthdays š„³ for my dearly departed parents. My brother & two sisters also celebrate their special days. Our wedding anniversary is on the 15th. Thatās all good but even good can be emotional š„¹ at least for super sensitive Jilly.
Anyway, thatās it for now. Just rambling and musing. Hope you have a good day.
As always more to come.
