Upon further review … ooohhhh that sounds ominous. As in, upon further review, your services are no longer needed. But nope I am not at work & I have work to return to which is a blessing considering the events of early in the week. The weather in Texas is still record-breaking temps but we had two decent thunderstorms within the last 10 days. Still at a deficient but hope springs eternal for more rain to follow. Usually this is the spot where my post begins but I wanted to cover all bases with upon in my intro. I’m competitive as hell about getting bonus points. Ultimately I’m also a logophile, lover of words.
When I think of words that start with the letter ‘u’ ubiquitous comes to mind first. I didn’t always know what that word meant but a big wig at work used it once upon a time so I learned the word to reuse if the situation arose. This big wig was let go with a parachute package & has fallen off the planet. Seriously, no footprint to be found. Others in those executive type positions (there are many in corporate world America) who also get the boot, land on their cat like feet, reinventing themselves in often times bigger & better positions.
On tap for today, I’m hoping to connect with a lifelong friend. He messaged me that we should talk on the phone like the old days. Not going to lie, I’m starved for human connection beyond the fearsome foursome. No more hermit Jilly. If your phone randomly rings, pick it up. Could be destiny calling. Lol.
