It’s Wednesday y’all. Oh happy day! Time for #JusJoJan and #1linerWeds.
I mentioned I took snaps to use on this day. Here is a keeper.
The quote was on the opening page of “Nine Perfect Strangers” by Liane Moriarty. Off to a most excellent start. The story is very descriptive and I feel like I am on this road trip to Tranquillum House with Frances. No spoilers, I promise. I have not read far enough to know what’s going on and I have avoided any and all reviews.

As always, more to come.
Cheers for a two-fer on a non-Tuesday aka Wednesday!!
Recently I took a bunch of snaps to use during #1linerWeds. I did this since I routinely leave my common place book at home. I have taken to walking again. Not talking about walking like I usually do but actually doing it. And I have photographic evidence to prove!!
I saw this sign on my way back to the office. The little mom and pop stationery shop will likely be gone before the year is up. I have seen two other businesses in that space in the three years, three months, and some odd days but who is counting of working downtown.
Not sure how I feel about this. I enjoyed getting and sending greeting cards but as part of my go-green effort, I switched to e-cards. Then I got lazy and folks don’t open emails anyway. Technology keeps advancing. Wonder what’s next. As always, more to come.

P.S. I hope I am wrong about the stationery store. I’d love for this business to make it!!
Cheers to a two-fer!!!
I keep saying I am going to bring my common place book with me everywhere I go. This gem would be a goldmine of one liners I tell ya. But alas, I have to work from memory. (This is filler folks, not part of my one liner. You see I am going for made up bonus points today!!!!)
You can’t miss something you never had.

Morris Bird III: “Sure was funny. Peculiar and haha both, he supposed.”
Taken from the book “The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread: A Novel” by Don Robertson
The expression ’round these parts was always “funny strange, not funny haha”. I guess that’s close enough.
We finally got that rain they’ve been predicting. But at 8 am when we left the house it was still humid. When we stopped to get gas before returning home @ 11 am, the wind had picked up and man did it feel 10 degrees colder. While refueling, we got Ant-Man & the Wasp from Red Box for this evening’s entertainment.
Dang, what a bargain. I remembered the Blockbuster days where I thought that was a sweet deal but I never imagined we’d come to this. Boggles the mind. In a good way.
Oh and hey I just found out, “The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread: A Novel” is part of a trilogy. Yay! Going to check out the other two one of these days. In the lap right now is “The Death of Mrs. Westaway” by Ruth Ware. I just finished “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens and will review it shortly.
This is perfect reading weather so I am gonna get while the getting is good. Happy Wednesday folks. To join in, here are the Rules and Ping Back
Oh yeah! Now I get it. Took me a moment. Unthawer = freezer. Lol 🙂 Very similar to Alternate Dictionary. Woo Hoo! I can tell this Wednesday is going to be a banner day!!!!!!!!!!
While not exactly the same but in the ball park, I am reminded of when the clerk at the AT&T store who when it came time to pay told me “the card reader was ready for you to strip”. To which I replied all cheekily, “no thanks, I’ll keep my clothes on”. Undeterred he said, “no ma’am seriously you have to pay”. Then I said “well if I strip, someone else should have to pay”
Let’s just say I am the only one who thinks I am funny. Poor Lulu practically melted into the floor. I knew he meant SWIPE all along but he didn’t say that. He said STRIP. Guess he was thinking STRIPE instead of SWIPE.
I’ve told this story a bazillion times. Today makes a bazillion plus 1. Hope your day is stellar. Muah mi amigos 🙂

Linda wrote about friendly appliances. Her oven says “Hi” to her 🙂
As long as we are NOT talking about the Brave Little Toaster, then we are A-Okay!!
I got nothing for today, left my common place book of quotes at home. Guess I’ll just read all the goodies from the gang. If you’d like to do the same, click here the Rules and Ping Back
I am writing this in advance to be published Wednesday so I do not forget this gem of a liner. I usually wing it the day of trying to match the theme even though the rules say there are no rules 😉
Well the last time I checked, bears don’t use toilet paper and mermaids don’t drink coffee. ~ Response by prospective juror during voir dire on the hit TV show Bull 11/2018
Get it? I’m sure that you do!! Happy Day! One step closer to #Free48.

Ha! Linda’s one liner was a good one. Research mishaps will do that to you. Or maybe???
Our new neighbors’ cat regularly comes to our house trying to get in. Why? because she can tell Lulu Belle was home for the holidays and Lu is the animal whisperer. Plus cats refuse to be confined. That kitty roams around like she own’s the place. Seducing everyone in her path with that come hither look as she strolls. Meow!!!
I wish today was bring your monkey 🐵 to work day because I’d bring our mascot with me 😂. Off I go into the wild blue yonder. Burning daylight so I best get on the road.
Happy hump day. Hope it’s a good one.

Linda’s refrigerator is sending her messages. 🙂
Made me think of this sign from our break room. I have used it before but I am burning daylight and gots to go. This saying is right up there with “close the door, you weren’t raised in a barn”
One of my co-workers shared some fires safety tips with us this week since during the holidays house fires become more prevalent. They whoever “they” are make ovens/stoves that turn themselves off now. I NEED one of those. Technology is rad y’all. Smart home everything!!
Happy Wednesday!! Hope it’s a good one.
