Thursday Thoughts ~ 2/9/23

On this day, 13 years ago, my sister died. We never met, I lost her before I found her. What happened is definitely not my story to tell but I still wanted to mention her name today ❤ Angie ❤

Remembering those who have gone before us is healing or can be. I’ve written before that I played freeze tag among the tombstones at Concrete Cemetery & ate picnic lunches there after we spruced up the place. My Mamaw, mom, brothers, & I weren’t being morbid. Instead, our acts were a celebration of life !!!

When you say their name you are not reminding me that they died.

You are letting me know that you remember – THAT THEY LIVED.

John Polo

The quote speaks to me. Everyone grieves in their own way so I won’t presume that the family she left behind wants a bunch of fanfare from a newly found relative. I’m still going to relay my sympathies. Too often people suffer in silence. Those not speaking to avoid bringing up a painful topic & those deeply missing their loved ones, wanting to remember the life they lived & shout from the rooftops!! YOU were HERE! YOU ARE Loved!!!

Hug those who need it. Today & every day.

As always, more to come.
