Red solo cup … omg an ear worm & not a good one though I do like ear worms mostly because I like music … ALL music. Except the song Red Solo Cup. I won’t throw a video in this post though. And you’re welcome.

In further news, the Citadel has been breached. Not that I live at the Citadel though I visited there once. I mean our casa has been breached. Finally Covid has made an appearance in our home. Almost three years clear isn’t too bad.

Pony’s best friend called him yesterday to let him know he was positive. He thinks he got it at work. They were together on NYE. Pony tested negative last night but today around noon he starting feeling bad & is testing positive too. So much for seasonal allergies. Covid means he will be solo. Quarantining & doing all the things to prevent further spread. Fortunately, because I am solo by nature, I was reading myself silly & was not around anyone for several days. But the way this virus travels who the heck knows if my time will come too. The nurse at his work told him what to do which is basically ride it out.

My how far we’ve come. Though never to make light of this disease because reactions are random. Seemingly healthy people can pass away, while others have a bad “cold”, & still others as asymptomatic. I’m waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop. Fingers crossed.

Did you stay up to see the New Year in? Nope I fell asleep reading. However around midnight, we were woken from our slumber by a barrage of fireworks like we haven’t heard in the almost 23 years we’ve lived here. People had something to say that’s for sure.
Are there any special occasions or events coming up in 2023 for you or your family? Not really. Lulu is engaged but hasn’t set a date. That will be our one special occasion for 2023 or maybe early 2024.
Do you keep a diary? I journal infrequently these days but always have one going. Writing helps release the hounds. In a round about way, my blog is my diary.
How did yesterday differ from January 1st 2022 or was there no difference? No difference. A day off work to do as I please. Not sure if all days are special or if no days are special because it’s all the same. Not in a sad way more like eat dessert first or use the good towels. Live a little while we still can. Don’t wait for the holidays. Kick up your heels now just because.
