Di is continuing on in Melanie’s memory. Still doesn’t seem real. What a wonderful way to honor her impact in bloglandia. HERE are the rules and ping back.
1. Do you consider friends an extension of your family? Framily it’s a thing … friends who are like family. I grew up in a tight knit community where this type of relationship was common.
2. Would you confide in a friend more than you would a family member? Same. I’m a chronic over sharer to anyone who’ll listen. Lol. Seriously I share only what I want others to know. Otherwise I only tell B. He is the vault! Of course when I really think about it, my business is mundane. Anything but confidential.
3. How long have you known your best friend? 52 years!! We met in kindergarten.
4. Do you believe distance has a negative effect on friendships? No. After graduating from high school, it took me a while to realize that I didn’t need to see someone everyday to be friends. I go a while without talking to my bestie but when we reconnect it’s like no time passed. We have shared experience, trust, and mutual respect. Plus with virtual ways to connect distance is like an illusion. Of course I prefer face to face and lots of hugs but emotional connections forge friendships too.
I’m grateful for being loved. I should remember that more often instead of worrying about the ones not treating me exactly the way I think they should.
As always more to come.
