10/05/2022 – J-Dub's Grin and Bear It

What a treat that I have that hippie dippy feeling where I have no idea what day it is. Oy vey. Though I’m not so out of it that I don’t know that it’s time for Tourmaline .’s 2022 Halloween Challenge ping back to daily post #tshalloweenchallenge to locate me. Today’s prompt is treat.

I am a baker. One of my earliest memories is sitting in front of the display window at Cox’s Bakery watching the artisans decorating cakes. I loved all the assorted treats. And the smell is one you will never forget. Yeast, sugar, cinnamon, & more all heavenly goodness. I wanted to work there when I grew up but sadly this Mom and Pop operation went out of business in the late 70s.

Here is a sample of my work. Some of it doesn’t look that good but how it looks sure doesn’t hamper the taste.

Well, it happened again. I heard a funny one liner during a meeting. This was an all-in information session. As we waited for the presenter to arrive, we make small talk. For reference, the meeting started at 1 PM CST. The conversation went something like this …

Anita – Good Afternoon!

Werner – Or Good Morning!!

Anita – Well it’s 2:00 here in Tampa

Werner – I’m in Phoenix, it’s 11:00

Blake – Oh, I’m in Phoenix too. Where do you sit Werner?

Werner – On my behind!
