Jim tells us to feature a song by a group or an artist that surprisingly never reached #1 on the charts. I picked The Who. They might be one of the most famous bands of the ’60s and ’70s, but they only had one song make it to the top 10 & no number #1s. Here is my favorite Baba O’Riley, songwriter: Pete Townshend. Lyrics within. Hope you enjoy!
As always, more to come.
Love The Who! I saw them back in 81 or 82, it was their “Farewell” tour… their first one🤣🤣🤣
Great choice!

Good to see someone else sharing The Who! They were much more successful here in their homeland than in the US but still didn’t have a #1 single. I love this track. It was released as a single in Europe but not in the US or the UK, which rather damaged its chances of being a hit 🤣

To us it was a #1 even if they charts didn’t say the same. We’d play this song on a loop. Screaming … in mean singing along 🙂

It’s like we both said, they deserved #1 hits even if that didn’t happen for them. I had much the same reaction to the one I posted 🤣
