I’m scattered too & I also blame it on the weather! But I promised after Snowmageddon 2021 that I would never ever complain about the weather again. Instead, let’s get this party started. We’re back once again to the fun that is #SoCS. Our fantastic host is the one & only Linda G Hill. She writes & I copy paste: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is βthe first 2-5 words at the top of the closest printed matter.β Open (if necessary) the closest printed matter to you. Use the first 2-5 words at the top of the page any way youβd like in your post. Have fun! HERE are the rules & pingback for anyone who’d like to join in.
Oh Lordy, I may need to go on a scavenger hunt for printed matter. I’ve graduated to online everything. I’ve been a recycler since I was a wee lass which means I don’t print very often. You know you’re special if I use paper for you. If someone asks if I want a receipt, I scream ‘no’ & when the receipt prints anyway, ugh!
Here we go, first four words on my eye exam prescription: Glasses RX, Patient Info. How boring! No one wants to hear about that. Instead I’ll write of our lovely experience. B & I had made appointments a full year in advance but we thought Dr. Webb had gone out of business or moved. Then out of the blue (not really) we get our reminder texts. Ah, okay, guess he is still open. We had reasons to wonder if he was still in business but that’s a story for another day.
Turns out he is sharing space with another company that does COVID testing. Y’all know we live eastside & proud which is in a very underserved community. By sharing his space, folks who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get way out to the northside, have access to much needed testing. He filled a need with a double benefit since their lease payments help him out too.
Our appointments were for 2:00 and 2:30. We arrive about 10 minutes til 2:00, get checked in, then B is called back immediately. I follow soon after. Both of us are done and back on the road home in less than an hour. Now that is stellar service. Catching up was icing on the cake. We’ve been seeing Dr. Webb for almost 30 years. Such a good person which is why we stayed.
Alrighty, lemme let ya go. Today is hair day. Lulu is going shoulder length, black with bluish hue, & bangs. Me? Nothing yet, scoping out the new place for potential future service. This gray might take really well to deep purple or fuschia highlights.
As always, more to come.
