Share Your World ~ 6/7/22

Melanie serves up the questions and I lob a few answers over the net. Tennis anyone? lol. HERE are the rules and pingback.

When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not? Yes I love crusts, always did and always will.

Are you a fan of musicals—why or why not? I’m a fanatic about musicals. Why? Have you not met me yet? LOL. I am the queen comma drama. But there have been some duds. Like Phantom of the Opera. Sorry Phantom fans I can’t! I just can’t! Despite the storyline reading as something that would interest me. I loved Hairspray, Aladdin, Lion King, Wicked, too many more to name. Nothing can take away from the pageantry, pomp, and circumstance that is a musical.

Is it difficult to do what you do? (for a living, hobby etc.).  If you’re retired, what you ‘did’ previously for a job can be substituted. Hmmm, well sort of. Define difficult. Some people say yes compliance risk management is tough. I learned in the streets or on the job rather so anyone can do the same. While there is a degree in risk management now, it wasn’t the case when I first started in 1984. I got 3 or 4 certifications before going back to get a bachelor’s degree in general business. And none of those helped me do my job. Part art, part science. Good times had by all.

What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?  (Doesn’t have to be a rock concert either). Oh my, I cannot pick. All of them for different reasons. If I have to choose probably Scorpions Animal Magnetism tour. Triple encore and at the very end Klaus yells out “We LOVE you San Antonio” and the crowd went wild yet again! How he could even still speak after singing through three encores was amazing. My ears were ringing for 3 days afterwards.

Looking back over your life, what is one thing you’re grateful for?  One thing you really regret?

Life is too short to have regrets so I tossed all of mine. All of the would’ve, could’ve, should’ve … are gone because if I had done anything different, I wouldn’t be where I am today and this folks is the good life. I am eternally grateful for everything. Can’t narrow this down to one either. Even the sucky parts are something to be grateful for because they help me recognize good when I see it. I have my tribe. B, Lulu, and Ponyboy are my shelter from the storm. Except for the physical pain that haunts me every waking moment. Mentally I am back on track. For now … because have you met me yet? lol
