HERE are the rules and ping back. Here is the prompt: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “a phrase you grew up with.” Include in your post a phrase your mom/dad/grandparent/sibling used all the time when you were growing up, or just write whatever inspires you based on that phrase. Enjoy!
🤔 think think and think. I should have a 🚤 load of these. I’m always good for a colloquial phrase or two or twenty. There’s really only one phrase to use. My dad constantly said “How Sweet It Is!” to a point where he was know as Louie “How Sweet It Is!” Jasek.
This wasn’t very original. He borrowed from Jackie “to the moon” Gleason. But it was his standard greeting. And every lady was “young lady” even if she was older than him. He’s was a charmer. That’s for sure.
Now that’s all she wrote. Off to our walk. Going to be a beautiful 🤩 Saturday. How sweet it is!
As always more to come.
I loved Gleason
