Melanie serves up the questions and we eat them up. Here’s the casserole I brought to this shindig. Talk about your potlucks.
Tena (I can’t find her blog, does anyone know if she’s left?) What constitutes a sandwich in your opinion? Is it only the standard two slices of bread, filling (including spreads or meats and cheeses and veggies), put together in a stack? Yep I agree with that basic definition of sandwich though bread can be substituted for any other type of roll or bun, even a tortilla which gets you a sandwich wrap!
Marilyn of Serendipity (In March, didn’t get the date. My bad) Are ‘strong’ and ‘tough’ in regard to character the same thing or different? Please explain your reasoning for either side you pick. Ooohhh science class. They are different because …
- Tough — resists failure, even after deforming
- Strong — resists both deformation and failure

- What’s your opinion on RSVPs? Obviously, formal occasions require them, but what about invitations to dinner/movies and the like? If a friend invites you to something, are you obligated to reply? What if you say yes and change your mind? How much notice is enough? Is it OK to simply no-show to a casual social event you’ve already agreed to? RSVPs are needed for head count and I used to have to give the caterers that count for our monthly CPCU lunches. It was a pain when people did not RSVP accurately because we had to still pay for the leftover plates and once or twice, we were actually short. Beyond formal events, I think it is based on the relationship. The courteous thing to do is to reply and then let the other person know if anything changes. Regarding no-show that depends on whether anyone is expecting me.

A Unique Title For Me (Jim) (4-5-2022)
- What would you name your boat if you had one? No
What will finally break the internet? Nothing
If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name? I’m finally used to my name so I’m keeping it.
What are some things that sound like compliments but are actually insults? Oh there are many. I call them compli-buts.
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask? I’ve have learned recently that I do not want the total truth about anything. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. And by all means, do not ask the question, if you don’t want to know the answer.
Marilyn (4-5-2022) How many bloggers are trying to balance the likelihood that WordPress will hike prices against the near certainty that their computers are ready to roll over and die? Not me, I only take the free version.
Cyranny of Cyranny’s Cove (4-28-2022 – from her amazing “Cyranny’s Quickie” series) What’s the most impressive, or oddest thing you’ve ever fixed with duct tape (or something similar)? A lawn chair is the only thing I have ever fixed with duct tape. I’m not that creative.
