Jilly’s A to Z for 4/23/22 – Time

Time marks the hour

As constructed by humans

Skews reality

Oh so tired with six more entries to go. Nothing for tomorrow, Sunday 4/24/22 but we pick up again in the home stretch on Monday. Tick tock time. I have a quote about that somewhere. I wish I could find it. Oh well. Ugh! The rigor and structure is maddening. I’m jealous of people who can roll with the flow. Not watch the clock or mark every single action. Music will make it all better.

As always, more to come.

#SoCS ~ 4/23/22

To my lovelies, top of the morning!! We know it takes two to tango too.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “too/to/two.” Use one, use ’em all, bonus points if you use all three. Extra bonus points if you start your post with one. Enjoy!

Bonus points done and done, getting that extra credit stuff outta the way right off the bat or as my UK counterparts would let’s get it done straight away.

The world is huge and small all at the same time and to think I have dealings on a global level is mind boggling. Lil ole me. Anywho, when I saw the prompt I went straight to Adam Ant singing Goodie Two Shoes. And thought why the heck not. Listen for a pep in your step.

HERE are the rules and ping back. Take a look at all other entries. You’ll be glad you did.

As always, more to come.

Jilly’s A to Z for 4/22/22 – Stay

Why Oh Why

Can’t I Stay Asleep

Wide Awake

A quick 3/5/3 with no real meaning. I can’t remember when I last slept through the night. I fall asleep easily but something jolts me awake before the alarm every morning. Even when it’s the weekend and an alarm isn’t needed. B tells me that I don’t need as much sleep now that I’m older. Maybe so or maybe the stress is getting to me. I’m back in therapy working on that. How about some Fireflies to lighten the mood.

As always, more to come.

Thursday Thoughts ~ 4/21/22

Time is doing it’s trippy deal. I was supposed to have the venogram today but instead, I’m seeking a 2nd opinion. Have I made another appointment yet? Nope because too much is going on and time is slipping through my fingers like sand. So much to do and only so many hours in the day. Ugh! Bane of my existence and/or story of my life. I used to make and work my ‘to-do’ list like a champ but lately I’m too scattered and anxious for that.

Anyway, I’ve reduced some worries into bite size pieces to manage better. And I’ve made some decisions that I can live with that removed pressure … not having the venogram done before I get another opinion for one thing and getting back into therapy for another. I’m a mess y’all. I need and will take all the help I can get.

Ta-ta for now. Have a wonderful Thursday folks! Only A to Z for me tomorrow. Aaaahhhh sliding into the weekend. Now that’s the stuff.

As always, more to come.

Jilly’s A to Z for 4/21/22 – Recharged and Reignite

Recharged and Reignite

A battery drained

Can be recharged again

Reignite your soul

I had to check the spelling for reignite a few times. But Spell Check liked it and sure e’nuf, I spelled reignite correctly. Sometimes I way over think things. Like now. To me it’s weird that resting can recharge us. Seems like more of a spark is needed. You know some energy to reignite the flame. Time for the musical interlude – Start A Fire

As always, more to come.

#1linerWeds. 4/20/22

Linda quotes the Dalai Lama. And it’s a good one. Check it out HERE. While you’re there, see all the other participants and their #1liners.

Here’s my offering for the day. More from TV. More from Mr. Mayor. A little about the scene. The mayor is hosting other mayors in some sort of special session. He is practicing some simple words in their native languages.

How do you say yes in Greek? Yes Ass. Hmm Yes Ass. I’m not going to say that.

Mr. Mayor / Ted Danson as Neil Bremer

Yep that tickled my funny bone. Yaaassss. Yes Ass. Happiest of happy Wednesdays to you and yours.

As always, more to come.

Jilly’s A to Z for 4/20/22 – Quaint and Quiet

Quaint and Quiet

Quaint is polite for oddball

But difference should be embraced

Quiet reflections

Going introspective today and wondering what are my motives. Opened up a whole can of quaint recently. Resulted in eating an entire bag of jellybeans. Once a year for that binge is a-ok. I forgive myself. Now let’s look up and listen to Underdog.

As always more to come.

Share Your World ~ 4/19/22

Happy Tuesday Folks! Some decisions have been made removing some angst. Lordy, lordy, thank goodness. To join in with your own two cents, HERE are the rules and ping back. Yet again I’m a day late but better late than never.

In your opinion, what do you buy way more of than most people? Hmmm, nothing, I’m frugal and skimp on most things.

Which workers have the worst jobs? The ones who do not love what they do. Sounds corny but in my vast (yet thimble sized) experience, I’ve come to learn if you love what you do, you’ll never work any day in your life. And I’m not going to put down someone else’s choice of profession as the worst like is often done to B because he chooses to work with his hands and get dirty on the job.

Opinion. John Cage is a composer who composed a piece named 4’33” for any instrument. The performance are instructed not to play their instrument for four minutes and thirty-three seconds. Is this music or is this art? A combination of the two? Neither, it’s stupid. Your opinion? LOL I love this question. All of the above. None of the above. Does anything happen after the silence? For sure wouldn’t want me in the audience because I would be yammering what the heck is going on?

How good are you at drawing? I used to be but any skills I had have been lost from lack of use. My kids have the creative gene if not directly from me, through our ancestors. When Pony was 3, he drew the next door neighbor’s house. A whole scene. The car parked on the street in front. The mail box, some trees. He’d sit on our stoop and sketch for hours while I worked in the flower beds. When I finally took a look at his sketch pad I was gobsmacked. No one ever believed he did it himself. He could’ve been a contender. His perfectionist self became so compulsive that drawing was no longer fun. After about 6th grade, that was it. Lulu still sketches but she won’t show her work except for her one and only tattoo that she drew herself.

GRATITUDE SECTION (as always optional)

Feel free to share one amazing thing you’ve experienced (any time frame). I like to catch a full moon. Sometimes you get lucky. See feature image and while grainy, the experience of seeing the moon is all its’ glory is absolutely amazing.

haiku – fly & zip ~ 4/18/22

with a little oomph

he stepped up his style of dress

what a dapper Dan

Okie dokie folks. I have lost it. In the best way possible. When I saw the words, my very first thought was don’t forget to zip your fly. I sort of went the fashion route. Oomph is subbed for zip and dapper is subbed for fly … Pretty Fly by Offspring …. earworm below. lol

As always, more to come.
