Hmm, I can work with fortune. Two things come to mind.
First, the movie Big with Tom Hanks. Lil Tommy Jr – character name Josh Baskin goes to the pier and plays a fortune teller game before he is cursed with becoming an adult before his time. Cute movie, lots of morals, be careful what you wish for and all that jazz. All in due time my man. All in due time.
Second, egg rolls. Don’t ask me why but I associate egg rolls with wonton soup which we are having tonight for dinner btw (homemade too). Amaze balls. Whenever we went to Hsiu Yu’s to eat, we’d get fortune cookies after eating egg rolls and wonton soup. Oh ya, that could be why I thought of egg rolls. Such good fortune. Our bountiful blessings and a shared meal.
Alright now, I’m going to get ready and skedaddle to our happy place for a morning walk. The banks of the SA River are never as pretty as they are at sunrise. A weekly tradition reinstated.
