Back in Black was written to remember Bonn Scott former lead singer of AC/DC who died in 1980. I remember listening to AC/DC in a high school English class where we had to write about the meaning of the song we brought in to play for the class. Sheri picked Highway to Hell and while Back in Black came later (I think), I noticed quite a few of their songs are about death or dying. My favorite line of the song is Forget the hearse, ’cause I’ll never die.In Bonn’s case, he lives on through his music.
Also, on a side note. Happy B-Day to my B! This song was their school anthem in 1982. They played it at run through starting the football games. Fond memories of a simpler time. To join in, HERE are the rules and ping back.
Back in black, I hit the sack I’ve been too long, I’m glad to be back Yes, I’m let loose from the noose That’s kept me hanging about I’m just looking at the sky ’cause it’s getting me high Forget the hearse, ’cause I’ll never die I got nine lives, cat’s eyes Abusing every one of them and running wild
‘Cause I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, back Well, I’m back in black Yes, I’m back in black
Back in the back of a Cadillac Number one with a bullet, I’m a power pack Yes, I’m in a bang with a gang They’ve got to catch me if they want me to hang ‘Cause I’m back on the track and I’m beatin’ the flack Nobody’s gonna get me on another rap So, look at me now, I’m just making my play Don’t try to push your luck, just get out of my way
‘Cause I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, back Well, I’m back in black Yes, I’m back in black
Well, I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, yes I’m back Well, I’m back, back Well, I’m back in black Yes, I’m back in black, yow
Ah, yeah Oh, yeah Take my love Yeah, yeah Yeah Ah, hey yeah Ooh, yeah
Well, I’m back (I’m back) Back, well I’m (I’m back) Back (I’m back) Back (I’m back) Back (I’m back) Back, back in black Yes, I’m back in black
I’ve hit the sack

Feels like we’re living in an upside down world. Things at Casa de Dub Senior are no bueno, muy no bueno. MoMo is refusing to get help. I’ve lost all sympathy for her. Peace out and I’m done. As much as I love B and I truly love him to my core, I cannot be involved. I’m the outlaw. So be it. This moment in our lives is the epitome of Let Go and Let God. We cannot stress about what we can’t change. If they end up on the evening news and/or adult protective services is called, it’s not for lack of trying. What a cluster and we wait for the change that is inevitable since this cannot go on much longer. Damn you Nietzsche. We are not stronger for this …
Roll call time and after that I will finish baking B’s birthday pecan pie. Pronounced the correct way … puh-con. No peeing in cans around these parts. Alright, let’s go …
