Your prompt for JusJoJan January 10th,Ā 2022,Ā is ā€chocolate.ā€ Use the word ā€chocolateā€ any way you’d like. Have fun!

Thanks for the prompt idea Ritu and thanks Linda for hosting.

Hmmm. What should I write about? I love chocolate. Who doesn’t? Well lots of people actually. Here is where you do you has no bad consequences. Mhmmm my all time favorite is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. A delectable bite of peanut butter and chocolate that is heavenly.

One year … maybe 2002ish, Lulu and I went to Hershey PA for vacay. Just us two girls. I was the subject matter expert for handling P&C insurance in PA for my employer and I always knew I wanted to visit the keystone state. I was thinking maybe Philadelphia but Hersey and a ramble through Amish country won out. We had a good time and she still talks about it.

The town does smell like chocolate on a good day when the factory is running & the wind is blowing. Over time, that novelty for “chocolate always in the air” became a hit or miss type thing but we happened to take the tour around main street on a good day. And yes, the street lights were all shaped like Hershey’s kisses. I have to wonder if anything has changed since we went there, maybe even the factory has closed. But we can still get the delectable treats so must still be producing somewhere. Not a clue and no time for Google.

Alright, I guess that’s it for today. See ya tomorrow.

Always, more to come.

Haiku – BEND(ing/s) andĀ Heart ~ 1/10/22

Ahhhhhh, oh what a life

Bending with the pain of love

My heart is bursting

Written for Ronovan Writes #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge 392 BEND(ing/s) and Heart.

A little explanation about my haiku this morning. B’s parents are going through the ringer. They’ve lived a good life until now in their golden years, when health issues are complicating what should be the best time of their lives. At least that is how I envision the golden years, a winding down of our clock, only sunshine and rainbows allowed!! And it’s sad to watch as they get hit by one issue after another, and another. Like a freaking tidal wave, or tsunami. But life is not for the faint of heart. I’ll say that again … louder for the people in the back.

As always, more to come.
