Hi 👋 I’m Jilly and I’m a logophile. I learned that from Melanie a while back. Loves ❤️ me some words. Inspire, aspire, expire. Such excellent examples. All three of them. Even expire which might get a bad rap of the three.
My first thought 💭 was expired like in old milk 🥛 🤢 or worse dying but expire can be good. In the immortal words of Semisonic “every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end”. Expire as come to an end, cease but we never really cease. Get it? Well of course you do!

Lately I’ve been inspired. I’m turning over a new leaf 🍂 daily. I’m biting my tongue and laughing incessantly… like a loon. I’m wearing my emotions on the outside. Saying what I feel and feeling what I say. Empowered. Yay me! Some may say “uh oh 🙄 she’s manic” but naw. Just the regular type of happy. Finding my groove. Me and Stella. I’ve not given up my snark though but I’ve found a way to channel my behavior appropriately.
I aspire to be better. To let go of what I can’t change and to make a difference where I can. In my own little corner of the world 🌎 I’m doing that. Training up the youngins to take my place. Precursor to my mass exodus aka part of the “Great Resignation” perhaps. This is supposed to be a new phenomenon but I swear it’s not the first time something like this has happened only for different reasons. No doubt the pandemic 😷 has changed us all. If I were still a student, I’d write a paper an A plus on it. And love every moment of the research.
And I am halfway thinking about going back to school. Don’t laugh. Time to finish my JD. And how old will I be in 2 1/2 years from now if I go forward with this plan? The same age I’ll be in 2 1/2 years from now if I don’t. Or I’ll take a shorter path to a Masters in Legal Studies. TomAto 🍅 Tu-mah-toe 🍅.
Boy what a stream! A long and rambling flow of nothing. Time to get going. Lulu and I are walking across the Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge this morning before the rain and while it’s cool. Then back home for lounging and relaxing with a nice sangria. Happy Saturday!!
