J-Dub’s Edition: First Happy Heavenly B-Day to my momma. She’d be 89 today if she was still with us. ❤ I’m sticking with the theme – retirement jobs! Ha that’s an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Hehe. I’ve attended two retirement Zoom celebrations and read of many others on our non-sponsored company FB page this summer. I wish those fine folks well. I’m a bit jelly. I’m also getting so close y’all. I can feel it!!!
The list Linda put up has all sorts of cushy jobs. My wish was that in retirement that I could be the drink cart driver on the golf course. I’d be outdoors but under the shaded canopy of my cart, making people happy. Serving drinks & shooting the breeze. Ahhh, now that’s the stuff.

Retirement jobs… I was doing sub teaching until i decided it was too stressful.
I had a gig lined up as a figure model at the local colleges but that blew up when COVID hit.
Now I’m looking at something a small theater is offering. If you can afford it, retirement jobs should be for fun and not for profit. But a little bit of spending money doesn’t hurt either.

I am always happy to see the drink cart lady come around when I am on the course and hopefully she will have some hotdogs as well.

Your day for retirement will come, Jill just don’t wish your age or time away. Friday will be the one year anniversary of my first day of retirement and it’s been a wonderful thing. I recommend it for everyone!
