#SoCS – Up/Down ~ 6/26/21

Time to stream folks …

Linda writes and I copy paste “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “up/down.” Use one, use them both, but try to put one in your first sentence. Bonus points if you use the other in your last sentence. Have fun!

Up the down staircase was either a book or a PBS movie. Don’t remember which. No time to Google it as my thoughts fly from my brain to the virtual page. Yeah buddy, we’re cooking with gas or rolling with the flow as the case may be. Lighting speed, no lazy river. Manic! “She’s a maniac maniac that’s for sure and she’s dancing like she never danced before …

Isn’t it awful that the actress in Flashdance couldn’t dance. They used a body double. For shame Hollywood. Was Richard Gere in that movie? Also not sure and no time to look it up. Very cliche just like Officer and a Gentleman which I loved until I was told I shouldn’t because the movie was not PC.

Should have, could have, would have … my former therapist told me to can it with those three, they’re crazy makers. What’s done is done. Are you picking up what I’m putting down?

Bonus! My intro? It doesn’t count and this closing section? Well this little ditty doesn’t count either. Wishing everyone a sensational Saturday!!

Rules and Ping Back

As always, more to come.

  1. Richard Gere was not in Flashdance just in case you were wondering. Up The Down Staircase was both a book and a movie, made in the 60s or early 70s I think from the clothes and hairstyles as I remember them. I only saw it once. This was a most interesting take on SoCS Jilly! Very enjoyable!

    1. Hi Melanie! Thanks for the info on Richard Gere. Turns out the handsome hunk boyfriend was Michael Nouri. I had to Google it afterwards, was driving me bonkers. Thanks for following along, glad you enjoyed my stream.

  2. Too much coffee this morning, Jilly? Haha, just kidding. You do sound a bit manic tho. I never read or saw Up the Down Staircase, but I have heard of it. I did not know Jennifer Beal didn’t do her own dancing, now I’ll have to watch the movie again and see if I can see it differently.
