G: Idiom of the day ~ 4/8/21

Starts with G- Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

Jilly’s Take:  This reminds me of the Erma Bombeck book turned TV movie “The Grass is Always Greener over the Septic Tank”.  You might think someone else’s life is easy but you never know.  Many people put on a brave front.  Trying to make things look easy while things are crumbling behind the scenes.  Life is hard y’all.  Don’t cha know it.   Maybe this was a line from the book or maybe this is something someone once told me – “the grass is always greener but there are brown patches everywhere”.    That’s why I’m trying to “bloom where I’m planted”.  For more on today’s idiom LOOK here. After that, check out this video using the idiom.

  1. Had a conversation with my mom about that the other day. I told her that you never know what goes on behind closed doors and what may look one way could be totally different. Good one
