Share Your World ~ 3/23/21

And away we go … Thanks Melanie for the questions.

If not now, then when? Maybe never. LOL. Or right now. Sometimes I just need a swift kick in the pants to get going. Though recently I have started practicing the pause. Because I often jump without hesitation or considering all the angles.

Can you describe your life in a six-word sentence? As always, there’s more to come. I added there’s to my usual tagline which is the story of my life. Considering the alternative, I’ll keep taking the onslaught.

Do you remember that thing people used to say, about how you swallow eight spiders a year while you sleep? It’s not true, but do you think you’ve ever swallowed any? What bug do you think you’ve eaten the most of by accident? I don’t think I have swallowed any spiders. Once a bee landed on my soda can. I didn’t realize it and when I went to take a sip, I heard the buzz. A near miss thank goodness.

What’s the best approach to resolving conflict? Face it head on. Do I do that? Not usually. Every once in a while I will but mostly I am an ostrich with my head in the sand. Not so bad that I do not believe the conflict is there. I know it … I feel it … I just choose to avoid conflict when at all possible. Because ya know, avoidance is the best risk mitigation strategy.

Gratitude Section (as always optional)

Where do you find inspiration? All around me but mostly out in nature. This past weekend, we walked our asses off. This accomplished two things: We avoided conflict and I was inspired to be a better person. Next I think I will get a punching bag for inspiration. LOL. I am grateful for this beautiful earth and the ability to go out to enjoy it.

  1. Thanks, Jilly for Sharing Your World! That bee incident was indeed a close call! I doubt either you or the bee would have enjoyed the encounter! Ow. I’ve heard it said that it’s prudent to walk away from conflicts as much as possible, less stress and less heartburn. It’s wise to keep out of such things if possible. I’m glad you could go on a nice walk and enjoy the natural world! That always provides me with peace I know! Have a wonderful week!
