Share Your World ~ 3/16/21

Here’s what’s on tap from our host Melanie. Cheers to Cyranny and Sadje for the questions. Let’s get this party started πŸ™‚

How well do you know your next-door neighbors?   Do you like them?   (credit to Cyranny for the question) We live out on some acreage and technically do not have next-door neighbors. The parcel next to us is where C and R live. C is two years younger than me. She and her older sister P road the bus to school in the mornings with B and his brother. The foursome was what my mom would’ve called “first” friends having grown up together. We like C&R very much. We’ve not gathered in a year but we are on call/stand by to help each other.

Do you have a full length mirror?  (credit to Sadje for the rest of the questions) I do not but I can get an almost full length view in my bathroom mirror if necessary. Which is never.

(for the men)  Do you shave every day or do you like the β€˜stubble’ look, or a beard? I’m answering anyway. LOL. I do not shave every day. In fact I have not shaved in over a year. I told my doctor I was embarrassed for having not shaven when I went in for my exam. She asked why? My male patients do not shave for me. We were meant to have hair in certain places. Have I told you that I love my doctor? Well I do πŸ™‚

(for the ladies)   How long do you spend putting on make-up in the morning? No time at all. I don’t wear make-up even pre-Covid. Though once upon a time I would not leave my house without make-up. That was short-lived. Life got busy and I quit caring or both.

How many items of clothing are in your bedroom (or closet) and not hung up? A place for everything and everything in its place. All my clothes are hung up or in their proper drawers. B uses our rocking chair as a clothes hanger but usually he only puts his clothes for the next day on it.

GRATITUDE QUESTION (as always optional)

Do you have a happy place? I do. It was the library. They still are not letting people in except by appointment to use the computer. They are do have curbside for books. From 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, they have free wi-fi in the parking lot. I really miss book club and the other activities. I am grateful for the free internet that has allowed several folks to work or attend school using laptops from their cars. I only had to do that once or twice during the Spectrum debacle. Saved the day.
