I’m a bit late writing my roll call for last week. I’m tired y’all from unprecedented events. I won’t go into all the gory details except to say the things we do for our kids. Oy Vey! I need an intervention from controller university. I want to graduate to let the chips fall where they may-ville. Yesterday was a one year anniversary of our personal start to the pandemic. I didn’t write additional posts here as I had already reflected during my Thursday Thoughts earlier in the week. Instead I wrote the following excerpt on FB:
Yeah I said beginning. Not the end. If I have learned anything in this one year that felt like a fucking decade, it’s that “life finds a way”. Parroting Jeff Goldblum. Before the pandemic, we were in a State of Denial walking around in a World of Hurt. Too afraid to say anything for fear of upsetting the apple cart. Faux happiness, air kisses one and all!! Muah!! Hamsters on a wheel doing what was expected not necessarily what we wanted. Nothing like having fear, worry, and major changes from the Rona daze thrust upon you to bring about an epiphany.
Have I learned nothing? Well actually yes. I learned a lot. Now I just need to put theory into practice. I recognize that the events of last week would’ve been even worse without my new coping skills. Which admittedly still need some work. Because that’s life. It keeps on giving. No wonder my gut hurts. Stress kills!! Ohm Monty Python! Bring the laughter.
Okay, finally the real reason we’re here. This is A Week in Review – February 28, 2021 to March 6, 2021:
