Howdy folks! We’re cooking with gas as the expression goes. Time once again for #JusJoJan & #SoCS. The lovely Linda writes and I re-write: Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: βskyβs the limit.β Write about something that has or seems to have no end. Enjoy! To join in the neverending story, here are the rules and ping back.
Ha! See how I did that? Right outta the gate … something that has or seems to have no end. Linda’s prompts in all their glory. Yeah buddy! Such fun and sometimes challenging. Makes me think. Allows me to enjoy the creativity of others. I hope we’ll be continuing on many more years.
I’m not going to be a downer and think about the inevitable end to our cherished time here together buzzing around WP. While they (whoever they are) say “all good things must come to an end”, they’re wrong. There is continuity even with change. Good things morph into different good things and go on and on and on and on.
Melanie gave us an ET question not too long ago in #SYW, this week or last I forget which. A few folks answered “YES we believe” and talked about the possibility of other planets somewhere in the expansive universe with life like ours. Talk about “sky’s the limit”. While I may not personally be around unless ya know they invent something to animate people forever, I find comfort in thinking that something (whatever and however many somethings) will be here, keep on keeping on. Long after I’m gone.
Crazy? Like a fox!!! Yeah buddy. LOL.
Alrighty then, Lemme let ya go. Which is code for see ya later (but not if I see you first). A line in a book I once read. A memoir. Where the author talked about his trials and tribulations growing up different. He regretted telling his one and only friend after an awkward silence during a phone call “well lemme let ya go”. And they never saw each other again since the other kid moved away. Aww man I still get the feels. Peer pressure and the angst of growing up.
Anywho.
Lemme let ya go is a southern thang … just like y’all … not sure why I’m giggling to myself. But go on, say it with your best southern drawl … Lemme let ya go. Not funny? Well I guess ya had to be there. But not to worry. I won’t let you go. I’m endless! LOL.
As always more to come π
The idea of life on other planets is mostly comforting as long as I watch more Star Trek than the scary stuff. I always enjoy your genuine writing voice, but especially today.

Ha! I knew someone who said cutting the grass was his free therapy, so I guess we all have our ways of staying sane. Have a great Saturday!

Ooh that too. Mine other free therapy is similar … working in our garden.

Yes! I used to love working in my former in-law’s yard, planting flowers every spring and tending to them all summer. I miss that as pots on the patio help but aren’t quite the same.
