Out of Sorts

B and I decided not to watch last night’s debate. We settled in and turned on Chopped. Then Pony walked through saying “He’s lying already; says he made insulin cheaper than water”. My curiosity was piqued and I opted to go watch the debate with him. What a train wreck, unable to look away. Now I’m out of sorts. Due to what I heard first hand. I have never been afraid before now. But I am … just can’t shake this feeling of dread.

As always, more to come.

P.S. added this afternoon, I watched the You Tube clip. Maybe Pony got it wrong? Nope, the exact words were “I’m getting it for so cheap it’s like water”. Nothing future tense about it. Now I turn my blog back into a safe haven. Silly memes, music, books. No politics just my own neurosis πŸ™‚ 😦

  1. I watched the beginning but about ten minutes I couldn’t stand it anymore and ran off to another room to work on the computer. My wife lasted another half hour. Trump’s aggressiveness just sent the screaming heebee-jeebees up my spine. No respect for the debate rules at all. Very carefully avoided saying anything of substance. Couldn’t even bring himself to put space between himself and white supremacists.

Biden didn’t cover himself in glory either but at least he showed a modicum of self-control and a minimum of respect for the debate rules and the panel asking the questions. Far more respect for Trump (at least initially) than Trump had for him. Civility in a debate is as important as a specific position on a specific issue.

I’d rather have listened to someone screeching chalk on a chalkboard. Absolute train wreck, as you said!

This fall it is a solid vote for the lesser of the two evils.
