#SoCS for 8/22/20

Happy Saturday y’all. I’m trying to put on a happy face. #SoCS sure fills the bill for that. If you’d like to join in, then follow this link to the Rules and Ping Back.

Linda writes and I re-write “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “brush.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or an idiom. Have fun!”

Hmm. Think, think, and think. Idiom. I better brush up on what an idiom is. Ha! See how I did that?

I use idioms like there’s no tomorrow. Half the time I don’t even know I’m doing it. I’ve got a million of em. When I first saw the prompt word my first that was “A bird in the hand is worth two in the brush”. I know it’s bush but this is stream and I have leeway.

B and I told Lulu that the other day. She’s job hunting. She had an interview then she got another call to proceed to the assessment phase with another company. If X offers me the job before Y do I take it? Yes! Because a bird in the hand …

And with the my stream is done. Until next time. Hope your day is a great one.

As always more to come.

  1. That bird in the hand saying is valuable advice during a job hunt. I remember agonizing over those decisions but especially these days, if you’ve got an offer you should take it. Oh, and great job with the prompt.

    1. Thanks Janet! Watching is so hard and knowing I can’t really do anything is torture, I need patience and faith. Depending on the moment of the day, I have either an excess or a shortage.

    1. Lol. It’s true. We added take the job that comes first because you can always quit if/when something else breaks. Best time to find a job is when you have one or so “they” say. 😂
