I had connectivity issues today. Work was FUN which is code for not fun. For that reason, I did not get to even get to check out #SYW until after 10 pm. Spectrum was here and left. The issue is not fixed but band-aided until tomorrow (or today) when they will replace something or other outside the house.
I have never read a Harry Potter book and I have only seen parts of the movies. We did see “Potted Potter” off Broadway in NYC. A very quick jovial jaunt that was to explain the entire series by acting out the highlights if you will. I could only hazard a guess which is why I am going traditional this time. I might get up my mettle for next week. Thanks Melanie for hosting. This challenge is a highlight of the week 🙂
Would You Rather Live 120 Years That Are Comfortable But Boring, Or Live Half As Long, But Have An Exciting Adventure Packed Life?
Hmmm, since “Steel Magnolias” is one of my all time favorite movies then I have to say as Shelby did …
“I’d rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.”
The thought of dying scares me. I am not as devout as my parents or it’s my guilt talking and I fear my just reward is down not up. Since I’m not a movie character, I’d rather be bored and live 120 comfortable years. Besides, I am never bored. I always have something to occupy me. I’m also a bit risk adverse making an adventure packed life the opposite of what this introvert traditionally enjoys;
What’s Something That Overwhelms You?
Life and everything in it. Just when one thinks they’ve had enough, something gives and things change but in the time leading up to the reprieve, I’d say that is a frenzied I can’t take this anymore existence full of worry that is soul crushing. I’m forever waiting for the other shoe to drop. I over-analyze everything and that’s exhausting in addition to being overwhelming. I make stuff up so my woes are self inflicted.
What Do or DID You Take For Granted?
DID – my ability to get a good night’s sleep. I have used many techniques over the years and now I am in a good spot for the most part. I will never ever take for granted a good night’s sleep again.
I am grateful that despite my connectivity issues, I have all I ever wanted and everything I’ll ever need.
