Rules and Ping Back. Thanks Melanie for hosting. Without further ado, here goes something:
What song always gets you out on the dance floor? Too many to count. Seriously hard to choose. My parents went out dancing on the weekends. Add in wedding receptions and any variety of celebratory occasions and from my earliest memories there was music, singing, and dancing in my life. That means my first dance partner was my dad. Oh how he loved to dance. My mom not so much. B either for that matter. History repeating itself. Anyway I’ll get to a point. I wanted to find a song that reminded me of daddy. Again there’s too many. Finally landing on an oldie but a goodie from yesteryears the “Cotton Eye Joe”. Surest way to fill the dance floor.
What’s your favorite sleeping position? Left side because I read doing so is heart healthy. By the morning I’ve turned to my right.
If you could snap your fingers and instantly make the world better, what would you do? I can’t post my first thought. I’ll go with nothing. Why? The butterfly effect and all that jazz. One seemingly small change that I believe is for the better starts a domino of events with unintended consequences.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done, and why did you do it? I’m very much a rule follower, risk adverse, insurance nerd. The scariest thing I’ve ever done was ride a motorcycle with B’s cousin Keith. Even with me as passenger he drove like a bat out of hell. I had my arms around his waist with my head buried in his shoulder and I prayed for our survival. Surprise! We lived to tell the tale. Why did I do it? We were at the ranch. Everyone was taking turns on the motorcycle and he asked me if I wanted a ride since he knew I’d never ridden one. I didn’t realize he had a death wish.
My gratitude is laughter and running a quick errand today with Lulu. We escaped the confines of home for a brief moment.
