#SoCS for 7/11/20

Howdy my lovelies.   We’re in mourning around these parts due to the cancellation of 7-Eleven’s cancellation of free Slurpee day.  No fear, they’ll return next year with an even better celebration.  It’s hot around these parts too.  When I went outside yesterday for my morning walk, the wind was blowing.  I thought nice.  That was for like a second.  Then I realized the wind was hot.  Instead of cooling me, it felt like a heater blowing directly on my face.  Today we haven’t made the trek yet but pretty sure it’s still July aka Hades.

Alright now, let’s get down to brass tacks shall we?    Linda gives us a tough assignment should we choose to accept it.  She writes and I re-write:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “song.” First, find a picture–the closest one to you. Your prompt is the title and/or the lyrics of the first song that comes to mind when you look at the picture. Have fun!

If you’d like to join us, here are the rules and ping back.

  1. Find a picture.  Uh what kind of picture?  A photograph or any image, artwork,  visual, drawing, etc.?

Ugh mo, I’m stuck on one.  If I can’t find a picture,  I can’t move to the first song that comes to mind.  Ugh mo dos.  Analysis paralysis.  Hmm.  Think, think, and think.

Picture.

I’m sitting at my ‘work at home’ desk aka TV tray with laptop.  Next to me is the end table with water glass and day planner filled with notes.  Hmm.  Think, think, and think again. Oxford comma between my thinks of course. Ha!

No pictures on the wall either because we never hung them back up after the home invasion.   Well blimey.  I’m breaking the rules.  First thing I saw was my water cup which makes me think of Anna Kendrick – Cups (Pitch Perfect and the song “When I’m Gone”)

And with that, I’m FIN.  Wishing you a wonderful Saturday.  Make it a good one 🙂

As always, more to come.
