Looks like we made it …

Cue ear worm alert …

Or not 😂

Thanks Robbie Ann for giving us chaos. Thanks Linda for hosting.

Did I spell that right?

Chaos. A whirling dervish. That’s chaos. Just today I had a conversation with a coworker about something we are testing at work that’s organized chaos. Story of my life. Oh how I love living on the edge. Sure keeps things interesting.

Rules and Ping Back

Good Lort

And that’s not a typo.  Instead it is the phonetic spelling of how my friend speaks.  His accent is what I find most endearing.  And if he were here with me now, that’s what he’d say … “Jill!  Good lort girl.  Stop it!”

I am too old for this!  Swear!  Double dog dare you.  Maybe this is something I am doing to distract myself from that which ails me.  De-Nile ain’t no river in Egypt.  The more I say I don’t care, the more I really do care.  Dammit! Curses!  Much more important things going on.  Knowing and doing are two different things though.  Aaaahhh Calgon make me away …

Lauren gives us the prompt of finished.  And that we almost are … close … so close …

Check out her blog!  You’ll be glad you did!!  Thanks for hosting us once again Linda!

Speaking as someone who has a hard time letting go … of certain things only … I will never be finished.  So much work to do and so little time.  Ugh!  Creating a vortex of would’ve, could’ve, should’ve.  I created this mess and now it is up to me to finish it.

But then what will I do?  With all that extra time?  Oh the possibilities 🙂

This brief jot was brought to you by the addled mind of one J-Dub McGillicutty.  Happy Friday Eve!

As always, more to come.

What the Freak?

Aaaaaaahhhhhh!

Now I’m on a 5 day streak! Dayum you WP! I haven’t missed a day you bastard. You know me and math have broken up. Now I’ll never figure out the true number of my streak!!! Oh the Tragedy!!!!

How’s that for overreacting?!? Lol.

I still keep wanting to write 2019.  Doh!  Oh well, let’s get this party started.

Thank Barbara for the prompt of television.  What a great prompt!  Everyone needs to check out her blog!  You’ll be glad you did.  And thanks to Linda for hosting us once again.

I (raise your right hand) Jilly Dub do solemnly swear that I am addicted to TV.  I am of a generation before cable, satellite, etc…  The first TV of my memory was only black & white.  It had rabbit ears and foil on the antenna.  It went off the air overnight always ending with the playing of the National Anthem.  Of course I wasn’t allowed to stay up that late.  Only every one and a while did I see the final salute.  Usually when my parents went out to the 1970’s version of clubbing.  Which was to go dancing at the Martinez Social Club.

Ah the good ole days.  Only 4 channels when you count PBS.  We watched as a family and dad was dictator to program choice.  We were his remote control.  What fun times we had when he finally got a real remote control.  Flipping stations.  Oooohhhhhh.  Delightful.  Often times right in the middle of a show.  “Hey, I was watching that” with response of “Hey, it’s MY TV”.  Good thing we liked much of what he liked.

Anyway work is calling me again.  This stroll down memory lane was fun!  Almost as fun as actually watching TV.

As always, more to come.

Thank you Debbie for dazzle.  Excellent prompt.  Thanks Linda for hosting.  Hard to believe only four more days left of #JusJoJan.

Dazzle makes me think of blinding lights, diamonds, or razzle-dazzle.  The Harlem Globe trotters used the ole razzle dazzle.  We saw them once when they came through San Antonio.  What a fun experience!!

Now I have an ear worm. Except I can’t whistle.  It’s a wordless song on a loop.  Oh my!!!

And that’s all she wrote because work is interfering.  Now lunch is over.  Boo hiss 😦  Wishing you a work week full of dazzle … the good kind, not trickster kind.  Whoop there it is …

As always, more to come.

Easily Amused

I got a new book Saturday. I mentioned to B that I expect him to be around while I’m reading because the book is very scary. So much so that it’s says to read it with the lights on. In typical B fashion he asks me “well how else are you supposed to read it? In the dark?” Cracked me right up. Yep I’ll be reading in the dark. Duh 🙄

Proof this is part of the liner …

I’m not scared … yet.

As always more to come.
