#SoCS for 10/19/19 “oh”

“Oh oh oh it’s magic!  You know.  Never believe it’s not so.”

I know it is ho ho ho not oh oh oh but considering the week I’ve had, I’m taking liberties.

Time once again for #SoCS.  Thank goodness.  I need to release the hounds.  I need a stiff drink.  I also need a break.  I need to cut myself some slack.

“Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of the KitKat bar”

I wonder if this will make any sense to anyone who stumbles across this stream of nonsense … I mean consciousness.

Beginning again, Linda says and I re-write:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “oh.” Use it as a word or find a word that starts with “oh.” Bonus points if you start and end with “oh.” Enjoy!

When I read the prompt those incorrect song lyrics Oh Oh Oh popped into my head.  I have been confused lately.  Well not exactly confused but mistaken.  For example, Lulu is an artist.  She has a painting she did years ago when she was in a bad place.  The caption on the painting was “Too weird to live, too rare to die”  and we thought she was saying this about herself and we were heartbroken.  Then last week as I searched for a song with drifter or vagabond, I stumbled across the caption again coming to find out that it’s the title of an album by Panic! at the Disco.

A mountain was made out of a molehill because quoting a popular album even if angst filled is not the same as originally having that thought unprovoked about yourself.  If that makes any sense.  Perspective tells me things were not that bad as it felt at the time.

I want a do-over y’all.  Oh how sorely I do!  Then feeling that way makes me feel guilty.  Because it means I’m a harsh critic, unforgiving, unloving, a mess.

But enough sad sack.  How about those Astros?  They’re doing good huh? Except they lost game 5.  Still ahead 3-2.  I would love for a Texas team to win.

If you’d like to join in the frolic, follow the link to the land Linda built where you get bonus points for beginning and ending with oh!

      1. It’s called “Berlin There Done That”. Lulu is getting “Danke Shiny Red”. We picked colors in honor of her final year of German. 😂
