… no I didn’t. Why? Because there are no doctors to be seen. Texas Med Clinic is now an almost self-service affair. You check yourself in, your name goes up on the board, and you wait to be called. Heaven help me if you have a question because automation doesn’t allow for that.
Good thing I wasn’t seriously injured and bleeding to death I wonder what the hell would’ve happen then. I guess I could’ve dripped blood all over their little iPad check-in kiosk.
Went home and iced it. Doesn’t even hurt 😔 anymore. Not going to MSU. I’m fine. Freaked out insecure neurotic. No seriously. I’m fine 🙂.
As always more to come.
If you feel bone grating on bone or there is a hard lump, go back to the doctor.
Many breaks will heal given time, support and being gentle to them. I broke a metatarsal in my foot. Doc looks at the x-ray and says, “Yup, that’s a break!” They wanted to give me a special boot but when he saw the hiking boot I had, their boot wasn’t going to protect it any better than mine would.
Looked more like a wrist issue than a hand issue. Usually, there are enough muscles and tendons to keep the bones splinted internally. Wrap it in an ace bandage, ice it when it hurts, and don’t use it. If the pain doesn’t start to fade over a few days, see a doctor.
