Our prompt today is Avenue/Boulevard/Drive/Lane/Road/Street and I picked “Love Street” … a song by American rock band the Doors. It appears on their 1968 album Waiting for the Sun.
She lives on Love Street
Lingers long on Love Street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens
She has robes and she has monkeys
Lazy diamond studded flunkies
She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you
She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you
I see you live on Love Street
There’s this store where the creatures meet
I wonder what they do in there
Summer Sunday and a year
I guess I like it fine, so far
Lingers long on Love Street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
Been a long time since I heard this one. I love all the Doors songs! 🙂

First time hearing this song and I really enjoyed the video showing the happy couple together, enjoying life.

Funny because I think in real life they were anything but happy. Pictures can be deceiving. Both appeared to be tortured souls.

Who was that woman? I know she was his partner but only by looking at the pics.

Pamela Courson. She was only 27 when she died too.

Oh my goodness, were they together when they died (not died at same time but were they still a couple?)

I think it was on again off again relationship but yes they were still a couple from 1965 to his death in 1971. She passed in 1974

She has robes and she has monkeys, what else would you have living on Love Street. Good one Jill.

Not familiar to me. I was waiting for more to happen. Was it drug induced, or am I being unfair?

You’re probably spot on. Almost all their songs were drug induced. Jim Morrison’s legacy is well known.
