J-Dub’s Review of “Book Smart”

Pretty sure no one has heard of this movie.  Definitely won’t make the Oscars.  This movie is a coming of age film about high schoolers … Class of 2019.  Centers around the parties on the night before graduation.  The relationships.  Overdone theme for sure.  No spoilers just speaking in generalities.

Directorial debut by Olivia Wilde.  Not half bad .. it was all bad.  Haha. Just joshing by citing the Muppets.   Truly this movie was not half bad.  With graduations this month and into the next, the timing was right.  Nice cameo by husband Jason Sudeikis.  I can think of worse ways to spend my Sunday.

J-Dub’s rating 3 of 5 stars.  Suggest waiting until this gem comes out on DVD.

As always, more to come.

#FlashFiction 100 Words or Less 5/26/19

Saturday was a two pill kinda night.  The pain wouldn’t subside.  Her belly ached, cramping that burned reaching straight to her bones.  Thank goodness Carl had leftover hydrocodone.  Not oxy but it’d do in a pinch.

Addictive?  Nope.  Not for Sarah.  She almost didn’t take another since the first pill did little to take the edge off.  But pain made for poor bed fellows; @ 10 pm, she popped the second tab.  Almost instantly, the room went woozy and she started to doze.  Squashed her symptoms but was far from a cure.

Addictive? Yes. Sarah could get used to this.

Hmmm What’s Up WP?

How did I get a 286 day post in a row streak notification before I posted today’s #SLS?!?!?  I hope they don’t mess up the count.  Credit where credit is due and all that.  Maybe I should get a little calendar and start counting for myself.

I need a chill pill as they say.  Off to the movies.  Oh happy Sunday!

For 5/26/19 ~ “The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy)”

Time once again for #SLS.  Jim prompts us with Cool/Groovy/Hip/Nifty/Radical/Swell.  When overwhelmed with choices, I get stuck.  But variety is the spice of life as they say.  Think, think and think.  Just Google it!!!

Here you go without any further analysis paralysis, I give you a classic, quick, upbeat little ditty.
