In keeping with my unofficial TV show quote theme, I picked a current one from our newest favorite show The Kids Are Alright.  B and I were kids raised in Catholic homes during the 70s.  This show is a flashback of the best kind.

Your dad picks up some overtime and suddenly we’re too good for a street mattress.

O is for Ozzy Osbourne ~ #AtoZChallenge

We saw the Diary of a Madman tour in February of 1982 when it rolled through San Antonio TX.

At the time, we were not huge fans and the show was rather grotesque.  I won’t go into detail but let’s just say my friends and I walked out of the Convention Center Arena wondering if the show was fake or if someone really did die.  Or maybe it was us drinking too much??  But I digress.

This was not Ozzy in his Black Sabbath heyday.  This was Ozzy pre-ban for pissing on the Alamo.  Even though all the transients were doing the same somehow Ozzy’s peeing garnered more attention.  He was already off the rails on his Crazy Train.  He has been pardoned and he came back.  In fact, I took Pony and some of his friends to OzzFest in 2003 for Pony’s 15th birthday.

The song I picked is I Don’t Know because … I don’t know.  I love the lyrics y’all.  Not your cuppa tea perhaps but “Everyone goes through changes looking to find the truth.  Don’t look at me for answers.  Don’t ask me, I don’t know.  … Nobody ever told me, I found out for myself.  You gotta believe in foolish miracles.  It’s not how you play the game, it’s if you win or lose.  Don’t confuse, win or lose.  It’s up to you. Go, go, go”. And to the wiki

I also found this way too long video of the concert I actually attended.  I am adding here and will click back any time I want to stroll down memory lane.

As always, more to come.
