#SoCS for 4/6/19 ~ fab

Gooood morning bloglandia! Time once again for #SoCS. Linda says and I repeat:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “fab.” Use it as a word or find a word beginning with “fab.” As always, use any way you’d like. Have fun!

Fabulous is my word of the day. One of my favorite F words. Speaking of F words…

Naw I won’t go there. Not gonna ruin my fabulous day and mood. You see I’m taking a purge day. Staying in pjs, watching Lifetime movies and crying in my post toasties. And that’s fabulous y’all because this wallow is getting “it” out of my system. I’m MSU and smart enough to know it. Worried for no reason. Stressed and ready for the other shoe to drop.

So, … this is how I will de-stress. Not the healthiest thing to do but not awful either. Like my friend and confidant says “crying and not having to explain why makes the purge all that much better”. She gets me ❤

F is for Foghat ~ AtoZChallenge

My choice was between Fleetwood Mac and Foghat. Fleetwood Mac achieved more critical success which is why I opted for Foghat as they might be considered a one (or few) hit wonder.  I had the album “Fool for the City” but this song (and not the title song) is the one I most enjoy.  More proof music does not need words because these lyrics are simply repeated over and over again.  Uh huh … we get it … slow ride … take it easy.  Full of euphemisms for so many things or one thing or several or …  

Another fun fact is this gem was part of the movie soundtrack for “Dazed and Confused” a movie that speaks to me.  Would have been us in 8th grade wanting to be around the high school boys.  Party in the woods … or wherever.  How am I still alive?!?!?

I am using the short version here but if you have the time, you may want to try out some live versions or the long version.  You won’t be disappointed.   Oh and I am dropping in the Wiki page which I might start doing from now on or at least until I get to Z.
