Ah yes!!! I got another good one for my 80s babies. Two reasons:
#1 This song “Moving in Stereo” by the Cars was on the soundtrack to “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” … a pivotal movie that influenced the last of my teenage years. Mature subject matter that would be treated very differently if aired for the first time today.
#2 The Max a local cover band used to play lots of tunes by the Cars. My friends and I would follow them around to local events like La Semana Alegre during Fiesta. Bring La Semana Alegre back!!! The one Fiesta event that had music as a central theme. Gone the way of the dinosaurs. A sad side note. The Max’s lead singer and Grammy winning producer was jailed a term of two years for extortion. The incident occurred during his brother’s political campaign. My how things stay the same.
Now to the good stuff. And you’re welcome. Lol 🙂
As always, more to come.
Well, that song is a bit before my time. I think I remember them just a few short years later.

Thanks Jill! Just “discovered” the Cars a few years ago when on a road trip to Reno with the hubs. He was in charge of the tunes and had a Cars CD. I didn’t know what I was missing 🙂
