If I upload a photo from my Word Press media to a post then later delete the picture from my Word Press media, will the picture disappear from the post? I only have a free version of WP and photo space is lacking. I am not at all technical and I wonder if the photo would stay for viewing because it was uploaded or does the pic always link back to media. I want to delete some pics to make space.
Inquiring minds want to know.

yes the photo will definitely disappear I have upgraded to the personal plan it is very reasonable and works well for me. sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

If you’re running short of space, you might want to upgrade to the “personal” plan. It gives you 6GB of storage versus 3 for the free plan. It’s $48/year. Also, no annoying ads.

The short answer is yes, when the picture is removed from WP’s library, it disappears from the post.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I suspect that your blog is important to you. I upgraded during one of the sales and I do not regret it even though I have not used any of the extra stuff I now have. I do wish that I could select the pic FB uses when I plug in there.

Yes. In fact, it asks you now if you want to delete and tells you that it will be removed from any post it was in.

I have seen this question before, and everyone says the photo will disappear from your blog post if you delete the photo from your media file. Wish it wasn’t so.

Yes, it still goes away with the upgraded plans. I’ve upgraded a couple of times just to get more media space, because I don’t want to erase all my photos from posts.
