Final Musings for Sunday 1/13/19

I get these alerts on my phone about screen time.  I guess Apple thinks I’m a kid who needs monitoring.  Limiting screen time is good for all of us which is why I am NOT complaining.  Or balancing screen time maybe?  Moderation in everything including moderation as the coaster from the Esquire Tavern reminds me.

Now if we were on FB, I’d tag three of my favorite people!!! But I am leaving FB … sort of.  There was this thing about someone hacked your account.  I did the things and checked the things and looked like the all clear.  I changed my password and now use two factor authentication.  Which is why I did not log in all week.  I mean c’mon that extra step takes a millisecond but what a pain in the arse.

Specifically my usage is down 34%.  Only two hours and 19 minutes over the last seven days.   Not too shabby.

Letting you in on a little secret, I moved to my desktop.  Lol! Oh wait!  I cracked that code, that must be why my screen time is down … no FB and more desktop. Big Brother aint got nuthin on me.

I am calling it a day though.  Two good books in the hopper.  Wishing you fine folks a fantastic rest of your Sunday. See you tomorrow for Haiku Monday and #JusJoJan.

As always, more to come.

Do-Over Books-Wise

I made a very poor choice with my book bundle.  I tried reading each one at various times and just blah!  I am hard core and rarely if ever quit a book but today I quit all three.  I need more lighthearted fiction or escapism in my life.

I am now nine days behind on my goal to read 24 books in 2019.  I know I will get to 12 due to book club.  Doubling that seemed doable.  Off to my happy place.  I am burning daylight and need to get going.

As always, more to come.

Addendum: I found these.

Much better 😎

For 1/13/19 ~ “Madhouse”

Thank you Jim for being the best guest host ever!!  Thank you Paula for the prompt – laughter.  Here goes nothing y’all.

I picked “Madhouse” by Anthrax from their  “Spreading the Disease” album circa 1985.  I was knee-deep in my “sticking it to the man” phase.  I feel like that patient some days and my laugh sounds about the same when I am in that mood.  And again I am enigma.

#JusJoJan ~ 1/13/19 – Undiscovered

Teresa prompted us with undiscovered.  Take a look at her site right here – so very good.  Hi Teresa!!!

Is undiscovered a contradiction?

I mean in order to name something don’t you have to discover it first??!?

Duh Jilly!  Use it as a adjective.

Ah okay!  But first you need to know what is an adjective.  You have become sloppy with how you apply the grammar rules.  Or worse … you are all willy nilly and purposefully misspell words.  Gregg would be super disappointed in you.

Do you remember how there was a hard bound Gregg Reference Manual at work and people actuality used it?  And some folks … not you … used to get in heated debates.  And how you would get popcorn from the cafe’ and watch the sparks flying.  Ah good times in 1985 I tell ya.

Now what does the above have to do with undiscovered?  The people want to know.  Well, nuthin.   But what follows does … and it is Sunday.  And we sing on Sunday or we sing every day.  Enjoy …
