My Route Today

After a stressful meeting but nothing really too terrible, I took my break. This is the year of less talk more doing.

I took off across St. Mary’s St, through Club Giraud parking lot bee 🐝 lining it to the library πŸ“š. I was on a mission for this:

My bundle. No one had snagged it so bonus score. I was out of the stuff and I needed MORE stuff. Stuff is code for reading material. And I hear y’all “no shit Sherlock πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ ” lol πŸ˜†

Did you know I could self checkout without untying my bundle? Technology! Just set whole stack on the reader and bloop bloop bloop. That’s the sound the scanner made.

After I left the library πŸ“š, I walked πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ run jogged down Soledad … which was a bit unnerving I must admit. I was on the backside of a few hotels on a road with much less foot traffic. The saving grace was the valets were out in full force. Not completely deserted. I was headed to Subway on East Houston with a coupon in my pocket and spring in my step. Without leftovers, I needed lunch. A sandwich πŸ₯ͺ to go with my oranges 🍊 and blueberries.

In and out … sort of. At 10:50, there were already four in front of me. But assembly line work got us through quickly. Then I headed back down Navarro. Past Travis Park. Next time I’ll do a few laps. I’m psyched to get 5000 steps. I need 3x that amount but I’ll take what I can get.

As always more to come.

  1. Amazing that the scanners can pick up all those books at once, isn’t it? Fun fact, the little piece of magnet or whatever it is they use to code the books is made by 3M and my mother-in-law has stock in 3M because her husband worked for them for most of his life. I just noticed it the last time I checked out some books.
