After a stressful meeting but nothing really too terrible, I took my break. This is the year of less talk more doing.
I took off across St. Mary’s St, through Club Giraud parking lot bee 🐝 lining it to the library 📚. I was on a mission for this:
My bundle. No one had snagged it so bonus score. I was out of the stuff and I needed MORE stuff. Stuff is code for reading material. And I hear y’all “no shit Sherlock 🕵️♀️ ” lol 😆
Did you know I could self checkout without untying my bundle? Technology! Just set whole stack on the reader and bloop bloop bloop. That’s the sound the scanner made.
After I left the library 📚, I walked 🏃♀️ run jogged down Soledad … which was a bit unnerving I must admit. I was on the backside of a few hotels on a road with much less foot traffic. The saving grace was the valets were out in full force. Not completely deserted. I was headed to Subway on East Houston with a coupon in my pocket and spring in my step. Without leftovers, I needed lunch. A sandwich 🥪 to go with my oranges 🍊 and blueberries.
In and out … sort of. At 10:50, there were already four in front of me. But assembly line work got us through quickly. Then I headed back down Navarro. Past Travis Park. Next time I’ll do a few laps. I’m psyched to get 5000 steps. I need 3x that amount but I’ll take what I can get.
Thank you to Linda as well for hosting. See the rules and ping back for all the fabulous offerings. After that, come back to see me puhleese!!!!!!
You’re back? If you’re reading this you sure are! And all I have to say are borrowed words “Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. We’re so glad you could attend, come inside! come inside!”
How’s that for enigmatic??
How’s this for a delightful song Karn Evil 9 from Emerson Lake and Palmer!!!

You’ve been down the rabbit hole with me. What I first thought when I saw the prompt was a play on enigma as in Edward Nygma aka the Riddler from Gotham . Of all the Batman villains, I like the Riddler the best. Even better than the Joker or Poison Ivy. When I was a kid, Penguin was my favorite because … well you know penguins are cute.
I have a love/hate relationship with riddles. The witticism is fascinating … Love Love Love but my impatience makes me cuckoo for coco puffs trying to figure them out. JUST TELL ME THE ANSWER!!!” Or I am all Shirley MacLaine in Terms of Endearment “GIVE MY DAUGHTER THE MEDICINE!!!” Not waiting. Nope!
Tune in tomorrow, same Bat time, same Bat station …
