#SoCS for 12/22/18 ~ Tin

Tin

Bonus points!! Now my life is complete πŸ˜‚.

Okay, to elaborate … Happy Saturday peeps. Time once again for #SoCs. Linda gave us tin or a word that includes tin as a prompt. Bonus if we begin with that word. Such fun!

If you’d like to have fun too or see the other creative offerings, look here for the rules and ping back http://lindaghill.com/2018/12/21/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-dec-22-18/

Uh oh. Did I lose you? Guess not if you’re reading this.

Tin

Hmmm. Think, think, and think πŸ€”

Tin as in Rin–Tin-Tin. German Shepherds are a very smart breed ❀️. Growing up my neighbors down the street had a German Shepherd named Sargent. She was a very good doggie.

Or tinfoil dinners made while camping in Girl Scouts. Wonderful memories. What a chef I thought I was. Hamburger, potatoes and carrots. Yummy πŸ˜‹

Or Tinseltown aka LaLa Land aka Hollyweird. Typo intended. Look at me … what a judging B word. I’m weird myself so whadda I care.

We’re trying to pick our Christmas Day movie πŸŽ₯ 🍿 but pickings are slim. It’s 2013 Anchorman 2 all over again. Doh! Might be time for a new tradition.

And on that note, to honor tradition, we’re off to the Dub girls born in December annual spa day. We’re trying a new place this year. Super excited 😊 to keep this party πŸŽ‰ going!!!

  1. We are going to see Welcome to Marwen on Christmas. That has become a fun tradition for us after dinner. I love tinsel but my husband doesn’t because he thinks it’s too messy. He got gold garland for the tree this year but I haven’t put it up yet. At this point I’m thinking why bother?

    1. I’m the only one of the fam that wants to see welcome to Marwen.

I agree with your hubby, tinsel is too much work. Garland is easier and you’ve got 3 days πŸ˜‚

  2. I love German shepherds. Had one purebred we found as a stray and about three shepherd mixes over the years. Very smart dogs. I hope to have a shepherd mix again some day. I love tinsel too, but don’ know if I want it in my house. Merry and messy.

    1. Yes so smart! Sargent did all kinds of tricks.

I remember trying to patiently lay one tinsel at a time while decorating the tree. I’d get impatient and just toss it in clumps. Mom always went by after we went to bed and fixed it. Another nice memory 😊
