Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “notice.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
Well unfortunately notice is a sensitive topic for us right now. B got notice that the company he works for was sold. He was surprisingly calm while I was worried and planning the garage sale already. You know. Sell the house, get rid of all our worldly possessions, and move under a bridge. But alas, I jest. Partially. Because we just bought land y’all. His entire salary goes to that. The note is for 15 years. We’ve only made six payments. I guess I will look at it this way, only 14 and 1/2 more years to go :). Lots can happen in short term. Really. Things can change again in the blink of an eye. I am going to hang my hat on that for a while.

It’s pretty unsettling to get news like that, even though it was hinted that it might be coming. I know I’d be jumping to all the dire scenarios, too, at first, but then things would settle down. Wishing you and the Mr. all the best. 🙂

LAND is good. You can always pitch a tent and build from there. Just kidding. Things are likely to get even better than before. And time will continue to fly. Thanks for the Steve Martin video. He always cracks me up.

Wow – that’s a roller coaster ride for sure! I’ve been on the company closing one before, and it was a blessing despite the shock – with your great attitude, you’ll do well with the change.

Thanks Ellen. He keeps getting more info daily. It looks like the new owners want to try to retain some folks. He made the shortlist. It’s still remains to be seen though once they actually do take over.
