B just received a call from JW. Not me J-Dub but the other JW.
Ring ring seek and destroy ringtone
B: I got to take this call
Me: Say hello to your girlfriend
He leaves for a bit before returning out of breath. Huff/Puff. Huff/Puff. Not really but stay with me here. Lol.
B: Hey I’m giving JW our windmill if you don’t mind.
Me: How much?
B: Giving = Free. Saves me the cost of hauling off.
Me: Aw. I know we decided to go the cheaper route for water. But still sort of sad.
B: He wants to use the parts to try and fix his own windmill. He’s owned his place 10 years and lived there for two. Said if we ever need anything he’s right down the road.
Me: How’d he get your number?
B: Jody Greene Realty. Oh and the 1900 acres they just sold across the road are going to become ranchettes. About 100 acres each.
Me: Yay! 19 new neighbors. Plus two 😂.
B says we can confirm who JW is by his wife’s FB page. I’ve just friended Mrs. JW. I wonder if she’ll follow me here. New BFF potential. Hello KiKi.
As always more to come.
*The feature picture is the windmill from a different property that we looked at back in October.
Have you ever done that? Made a list of pros and cons. When trying to make a decision. Do I buy the new car or do I fix the old one? Those sorts of things.
We’ve been watching a lot of the Office reruns. Something different as Modern Family has became worn out to us. Any who, I think it was Jim who made the list. Reasons to go and the list was extensive. On the con side, there was a single word Y.O.U!
I have always had a strange attachment disorder. When you’re in, you’re in. Unconditional baby. Almost immediately sometimes. Invading personal space. Question: Is one person enough reason to stay?
Yes! I’d like to believe that love conquers all. I’d also like to believe in serendipity.
As always more to come.
Happy middle of the work week if you’re a Monday to Friday 9 to 5’er. Hey did you hear that they are remaking that movie 9 to 5? No originality anymore. Oh well, can’t fight city hall. On to J-Dub’s edition of #1linerWeds. Here are the rules and ping back.
Today is the feast day of the Assumption of Mary. There is a huge festival in Praha Texas at St. Mary’s church to celebrate. St. Mary’s is one of the painted churches so if architecture is your thing then a road trip may be in order. Growing up we attended the picnic every year no matter what day of the week it fell on. Dad would take a vacation day and off we’d go. Always beginning with 10 AM Mass and followed by music, food, and fun! I remember working in the popcorn and cotton candy booth with my aunt and uncle. Such a treat to pour in the sugar and watch the tendrils be released as you spin the paper cone around. Ah, the good old days.
As always, more to come.
