Woo Hoo! Half way through the work week. All is right with the world. Do you ever wonder how sometimes things just work out? Fate or kismet.
Lulu got a job and quit a job in fast-food after working only 4 1/2 hours. Then she stumbled into a job that she never ever would have thought she wanted. Now Hiring! Immediate Hire! Temporary Stocking Positions!!
This job is teaching her valuable life lessons. She likes the hard work and defies the millennial label. I was so sure she’d quit again. I mean really? Who wants to unload trucks, unpack boxes and stock shelves? She does! And she got to use her creativity while arranging her aisles.
Temporary became part-time. Still re-stocking as necessary but mainly cashier. Balancing the register to the penny or being over a dollar because someone said keep the change. She’s already been cursed at, then apologized to. Her manager really likes her and is even willing to keep her on when she is home from school over Thanksgiving/Christmas/Spring breaks. She feels accomplished. I haven’t seen her this happy in a very long time.
All is right with the world.
Oh yeah, I already said that.
