B: You might not want to go outside dressed like that
Me: Why is it still cold?
B: Not cold, cooler than usual
Me: Then I am going like this
B: Okay, say hi to Rob for me, he is out there working on his truck
Me: Fine, I’ll go put some clothes on
For the record, I was partially clothed already. Not neekid. Though I could neekid becuz the nest is empty. I miss being surrounded by nothing but trees. Now we have neighbors all around us. No more quick run to the mail box or feeding the dogs in my skivvies. You’re welcome for any pictures that flashed into your head. Lol.
Sam really wants to come for a visit
He has been asking about u
He wants to see his sister
He's on new medication/doing better
But today he threw a fit in front of a new client
He asked for the money for his room and board
I know it's early but I can bring him to u
U can give him cash right?
Jenny sat in stunned disbelief. Butterflies rising up, heart racing. She sucked in a short breath. Then exhaled, Huhhhhhh She carefully types “Can I call you?”
One more time, Huhhhhhh. She’d rather be any place but here.
April 15th is 2018 IRS tax day … or maybe not as I think we’ve been loosey goosey these last few years. But maybe the due date moves when 4/15 falls on a Sunday.
Don’t know, don’t care.
More importantly, April 15th is when the slush panel votes in WRiTE Club. The next day, bout #1 kicks off and we all use the ballot to cast our votes. I had not gone out to the site in a while but today when I checked, I noticed the Contest Scorecard is up. Just awaiting the links to the bouts. Woo to the Hoo!!!
Helen has given us our prompt – lights. I am showing my age here as the first song that popped into my brain was Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann’s Earth Bandfollowed quickly by When the Lights Go Down by Journey. Both are classics released in 1976 and 1978 respectively. What I just learned today is that Bruce Springsteen aka the Boss WROTE and RECORDED Blinded by the Light first. Yep! He sure did. In 1973. Yet this cover version that follows is most recognizable and did better. Hit #1 in the US in February of 1977! Who knew?!?! Now we all do 🙂
