For 1/21/18

The prompt is comfort.  Which puts me like a deer in the headlights when it comes to a song selection.  All music brings me comfort.  How could I ever decide?

Drop all the song titles in a hat maybe?

Nope, I’ll just pick the first one that comes to mind.

Bridge over Troubled Water” is a song by American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. Produced by the duo and Roy Halee, the song was released as the follow-up single to “The Boxer” in January 1970. The song is featured on their fifth studio albumBridge over Troubled Water (1970). Composed by singer-songwriter Paul Simon, the song is performed on piano and carries the influence of gospel music.

Bridge Over Troubled Water performed by Simon and Garfunkel.
Lyrics:
When you’re weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes I will dry them all
I’m on your side when times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I will take your part oh
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Sail on silvergirl Sail on by Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
Oh, if you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
