… that I wear my heart on my sleeve and I share many of the thoughts that routinely pop into my head. A way to relieve the anxiety I suppose. Earlier I was watching a recording of Lou Holtz delivering a commencement speech in which he said and I paraphrase:
Don’t tell people about your problems
90% of people really don’t care & 10% are glad you have them
What? Really? Probably so. Can you blame them? No really, can you? Not at all since we all have problems of our own. That’s life.
Frankie S aka Ole Blue Eyes is really lifting my spirits this fine Sunday morning. That’s life! and Fly me to the moon (that I shared recently). Music has my number in the best way possible and this rocker chick is feeling mellow. I think he was sort of cheater, cheater pumpkin eater and maybe not the best guy in real life but who among us without sin …
We are humans. Perfectly flawed.
Back to the quote, such a sad commentary leading me to believe maybe I am alone. Except I have B and the kids. I’m doing okay. More than okay. Finally.
The speech is about 7 minutes long and contains nuggets of gold and excellent advice but the above statement is the one that lingers. Maybe I should dial things way back? Maybe I should go back to that dark place where after powering through the workweek, I crawled into bed and stayed there until Sunday evening rolled around placing me in a panic?
I am not exactly gullible; in fact I’m usually very suspicious but for some reason I tend to believe the so-called experts rather easily. Lou Holtz was an excellent coach ergo he is an expert ergo I should believe everything he says as the gospel truth. But he is still just a man. I guess I will still tell people about my problems to amuse the 10%.
This week starts everything anew! Spring has sprung … no wait. Fall is almost upon us. But I can have feelings of anew in the Fall too. Last week is in my rearview mirror; it was very trying to put it mildly. I shared my problems and few dear souls helped me immensely. More than a few but here are three in no particular order I’d like to thank.
- Truly is my empath extraordinaire
- Joey – She knows stuff! You betcha and what she knows sure helped me
- Daina accompanied by Alan Watts and Buddha. A terrific trio that’s got it goin’ on.

As always, more to come.

I have to drop it a step or two to make the high notes. One of the songs I did in my nude theater group

I watched a movie about him and feel in love with the music. Hubby made me a whole zip drive with Sinatra music. No one wants to listen to it but me and my mom hahaha. Upside, when I want to be alone, I put Sinatra on 😉
